ROBBE Speedmonitor (snelheidsmeter) [RO8499]

The Speed-Monitor is a useful accessory which makes a contribution to the convenience of operating RC model cars. In principle it works in a similar way to a modern car´s on-board computer.

The unit records and displays the following individual values:

current speed

overall distance covered (since being switched on)

actual battery voltage

maximum speed obtained during last run

overall distance covered

The Speed-Monitor is an ideal tool for optimising the power system of an RC car.The Monitor can be connected to any vacant receiver channel; this supplies power to the device, i.e. it draws energy from the model´s receiver battery or BEC system. For this reason the Speed-Monitor can also be connected between the receiver and a servo if all the receiver outputs are already in use; the servo signal and power supply are looped through the unit. The device includes an integral socket into which the servo can be plugged.

Data is recorded using a Hall sensor which is supplied already mounted on a separate sensor board. This board, and the sensor magnet, must be installed in the model.
